Assagao local enters temple wearing shoes, booked
Panaji: Goa Police have booked a resident of Assagao for allegedly 'outraging religious feelings' after he entered a temple wearing shoes. According to the complaint lodged by Umesh Tanksalli at the Anjuna police station, on Friday, around 8.40pm, a person criminally trespassed into Shri Somnath Devasthan, Assagao. He said the accused was wearing shoes, thereby outraging the religious feelings of devotees. The complainant said the accused also hit him, causing simple injury and further, threatened him and the others with dire consequences. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
